NAUTICAL PORTFOLIO continues the artist's earlier landscape explorations with even more emphasis on man's influence on land and water. Since the nucleus of the nautical portfolio was created for a brochure for Berg Color-Tone, Inc., a manufacturer of photographic coloring chemicals, the images were first printed in black and white, and then hand colored, toned and tinted by the artist in her Bethesda studio and darkroom. The expanded portfolio of 14 prints, focuses on the nautical themes the artist grew to love while sailing. This portfolio of toned, tinted, and hand colored New England nautical images allowed Rosenstein to "marry" her painting and photographic skills.
